Customer Reviews

"Portions were huge and well displayed! Pricier than expected but the portions and side dishes made up for it! Nothing fancy but a good local hangout for many and comfortable environment. Not the most professional place being able to hear certain comments from the kitchen/servers but comes with the area/pub environment. Tiffany was great with a smile, went out of the way service, and personable. Makes a huge difference on the experience! (Glad I got to make her day as a fellow lifter!)"

"The pizza pie was delicious. We sat in the bar area, and aside from some noisy gentlemen bantering back and forth, ambiance was pretty rad too. Plus, our server, while running her booty off, was amazing! Get you some!"

"Quaint little place. Food was really good, but the service was awesome! Too late at night to see if there was a good view or not."

"The Perch was delicious, the workers were polite and friendly, and the atmosphere was a good place to meet with a group of friends and have dinner. I'll definitely be back!!"

"I was worried at first glance, It looks horrible, total truck stop type of thing. Lame cafe' type seating.. old tables and metal old chairs.. It was mostly clean but the lack of appeal and lack of decor made me 'feel' like it wasn't. The waitresses were what you would find at a bar that serves food, really nice and attentive but not noticeably professionals with slang talk and "I got you, hun" type personalities. The food took FOREVER, like 40 min or so. Which is despicable because they were not even notably busy other than a full bar in the other room. Despite the horrid decor of a truck stop the food was surprisingly nice. They had a respectable selection. I ordered the smaller steak and shrimp (ribeye it think) but it was thin.. less than 1/2 inch thick, cooked to perfect medium rare (hard to do with such a thin steak) and seasoned well. It was nearly 1/3 fat. which was disappointing but the shrimp were perfect, large, crispy home style battered obviously not ordered from a random store, the shrimp almost reminded me of lobster and I wondered if I made a mistake by ordering the fried when they would of even been better saute' with some butter. Still amazed by the shrimp, maybe the best I've ever had. The person I was with ordered the larger steak and it was of reasonable thickness.. just shy of an inch thick also seasoned and cooked perfectly. The artichoke and spinach dip was served with garlic bread as opposed to the usual pita's and was actually good, though down home and not fancy it reviled high priced restaurants in quality and flavor. I'd recommend this place if you can get past ugly for the quality of food. Or as a trial if you're in town for a week. But less than a 1/4 mile north is another place with better decor, comparable food and selection and notably faster service. I actually, after several visits, don't even understand how this place is still open with the other option available. But give it a try and see if I'm wrong"

"I'm not sure what to think yet. I will be making some phone calls tomorrow to clarify the laws in Indiana regarding charging fees for using a debit card. I have always understood that a debit card is viewed in the equality of cash. I've understood the law to say that even if a debit card is run as a credit card, it can not be allowed to post a fee for using such. I did notice a fee of 3.75% was added for using my debit card. Generally, surcharges are permitted for credit cards. Even if it's labeled as a "customer service fee". Otherwise, food is decent. Takes a while to be served. Waitress was superior. And a nice place to dine. I will get ahold of some people this week and do what I can to learn more on if these fees are allowed, and if so, that part of my review will be cut."

"I really wish I would have taken a picture of our food from last night. Hubby and I got the specials. He had the chicken (6 piece) for around $16 and I had the meatloaf for around $9. We also ordered the tomato bread. And I got a small plate of spaghetti. The waitress was very kind and pleasant. The food was delicious. The only thing I wished was different was, my spaghetti disnt taste like it was spaghetti sauce it tasted like marinara sauce. It was not pleasant."
